Can I study while working full-time on a farm?

What will I learn in the agriculture course?

You'll develop skills in production planning and livestock management, farm technology and operations coordination, plus leadership and business management capabilities including team supervision, cost control, and communication skills for working with farm owners and service providers.

What qualification will I receive?

Graduates receive the New Zealand Certificate in Agriculture Level 4, a nationally recognised farming qualification that demonstrates proven competence in farm supervision and management. This qualification is highly valued by employers and provides pathways to senior management roles.

You'll receive academic guidance from Skills Institute tutors, pastoral care from Growing Future Farmers, and three annual farm visits for hands-on assessment and mentorship throughout your farming qualification journey.
