Real Estate FAQs

Your questions about launching and advancing your property career through flexible online learning, answered.

What real estate courses do you offer?

We offer three industry-compliant online real estate courses: Real Estate (Salesperson) Level 4 (26 weeks or less, 40 credits) to launch your property sales career; Real Estate (Branch Manager) Level 5 (24 weeks or less, 40 credits) for experienced agents wanting leadership roles; and Residential Property Management Level 4 (40 weeks) for comprehensive property management training. All courses are NZQA-approved and meet Real Estate Authority standards.

Are all real estate courses delivered online?

Yes, all our real estate and property management courses are delivered exclusively online for maximum flexibility. You can study anywhere, anytime using our interactive online platform that fits around your current commitments, whether you're working full-time or managing other responsibilities.

Who can enrol in real estate courses?

Our courses are available to domestic students only (NZ Citizens, Residents, Permanent Residents and Australian Citizens/Permanent Residents). The Level 4 Salesperson course suits career changers and people-focused professionals. The Level 5 Branch Manager course requires at least three years real estate sales experience. Property Management is open to those wanting to formalise existing experience or build new expertise.

What support do I get as an online learner?

You'll receive comprehensive support including cohort learning with group chats and live learning sessions to build your professional network. Our experienced training advisors provide ongoing guidance throughout your studies, and you can maintain contact with tutors for future development even after graduation.

How long do real estate courses take to complete?

Course duration varies by level: Real Estate Salesperson can be completed within 26 weeks or faster if your schedule allows; Branch Manager takes 24 weeks or less; and Residential Property Management runs for 40 weeks. The flexible online format lets you study at your own pace within comfortable deadlines.

What time commitment is required for study?

Most students dedicate 10-15 hours per week to their real estate studies. The flexible online format allows you to study around client appointments, sales commitments, or other work obligations, making it ideal for working professionals wanting to advance their careers.

Will these qualifications allow me to work anywhere in New Zealand?

Yes, all our real estate qualifications are nationally recognised throughout New Zealand. The Level 4 Salesperson certificate leads to your real estate licence, while the Level 5 Branch Manager qualification is required for management positions at any real estate branch across the country.

Can I study while working in my current job?

Absolutely. Our online courses are specifically designed for working professionals. You can maintain your current role while completing your qualification, then transition into real estate when you're ready. Many students continue working until they've completed their studies and secured their new position.

What makes someone successful in real estate?

Successful real estate professionals combine strong people skills with property knowledge, legal understanding, and sales expertise. They're driven, determined individuals who understand that success is directly tied to effort. Good communication skills, networking ability, and genuine desire to help people with property decisions are essential.

Do you help with job placement after graduation?

While we don't provide direct job placement, our courses build valuable industry relationships through cohort learning and networking opportunities. You'll connect with classmates and industry professionals during live sessions, creating a network that often leads to career opportunities in New Zealand's competitive property market.
